Low Notes= Wierder?

Sign in to disble this ad
Over the years, I've noticed something, the lower the notes you play, the more eccentric and "wierd" you are, has anyone else heard this? Cuz the flutes in band are all pretty normal, the snare drummers are ok, trupets, saxes, and clarinets are ok, but low brass, bass and bass drum are all really absent minded and strange

Why are the posts from the people who are still in school the most difficult to understand?

I knew 2 male flutists in high school. Currently, one is in prison for rape, and the other disappeared. Yep, pretty normal.

It shouldn't have been, it was middle class suburbia. But the varsity catcher on our baseball team got arrested for heroin possession junior year. A year after high school ended, the local police raided all the local drug houses, about a dozen kids I knew went to prison. A few more kids died from drug overdoses, suicides, etc. Then kids who moved away started to go to hell, like the kid who went to prison for rape. I don't know what the hell is going on, me and my friends lead normal enough lives, play music, work normal jobs, and so on.

No murders thus far though.

Keep in mind, I'm 24, it's not like all this happened over the course of a few decades.

So, the message I get from TrooperFarva, is basically this:

Play the bass or you will be imprisoned for rape, or overdose.

All that aside, I have no idea what the OP incoherant drivel was. I'll just assume the literacy rate in your area is about the same as the wattage of my amp, and blow it off.

No, I was a drummer in high school. We didn't have any bass players in the school band.

I was in the low brass...Id have to say it was opposite. The trumpets were self involved pricks, the sax players were goof offs and the flutes were always arguing over whose flute sounded better. I would say we were the normal ones who just sat in the back and laughed at the hilarity in front of us.

Around here, generally the lower the instrument you play, the more talented you are. The flute/clarinet players are just little valley-girl ditzes, the trumpets/saxophones are OK (although our drum major, who plays trumpet, made all state), but our low brass section (in band I play bari sax) has the talented people. Like me.

Buckethead isn't weird at all. Good thing he wasn't a bass player, or he might be a little strange.

Well, in my school band, the trumpets think they're better than they really are. The flutes and clarinets barely even try, though our drum major last year was an awesome clarinet player. The low brass does have a few talented people. I guess electric bass is considered low brass in high school. Sometimes I'm pit, drumline and low brass at the same time... Well, last year, the 1st trombone player and I went to All State. I went for Orchestra on DB, though.
