Okay, I have a story. It might not pertain completely to basses, but it has to do with my bass itself. I had a 4th of July party today, and my dads friend, and mine, had joined me during my practice session. I was just feeling the groove, so I thought Id practice. he has been having some problems (his kids are insane, his wife doesnt work but shops nonstop, and he is working 3 jobs). He listened to me play Synchronicity II one time, with my Fender Jazz bass, and told me I changed his outlook and brought back memories. I guess back in college his roommate, the now bassist for Big Organ Trio, played a Fender Jazz bass, cream/tort pg, and played the same songs. I play "classic rock", so he could appreciate. HE had the best years of his life in college, and said that me playing those songs meant a lot. He greatfully thanked me, walked outside and gave his wife a hug, ranted on my playing, then gently sat there thinking. This is the kind of stuff that makes all the practice, money, and time worth it. Just thought Id share that with you guys.

Music shouldnt be kept to yourself, esp. if the outcome is to this degree.

| | | | that's pretty cool. I've had some experiences like that in my (short) life, related to magic and acting, and it always just changes the way you look at whatever it is that you're doing. |

To be able to heal a troubled fellow justo playing a tune on a wooden rod with wires that makes sounds... Thanks for sharing, dude. It didn't only worked fo yor friend, tho. Reading the story works to some extente the same kind of magic with all of us. Sure did it with me... warm soul.

Our guitar player likes to say....
"For the rich, there's therapy. For the rest of us, there's Rock & Roll."
Sounds like it worked in this case
