Messing around after practice - your stories

Hello there!
I guess we all have that moment, when we are done with band practice, we still have some time left to mess around the studio/garage/whatever the place is you have practices in. So, I would like to hear your stories

Here is what we did a while back:

We were done with all our songs, and we still had like 20 minutes to kill before our appointed time is up (my Engish, not so good...). So a guitarist picked up a bass, drummer stayed on drums, and we made some amazing beats. I got the idea, since I wrote some rap songs back when I was into it, to rap them. They gave me the beat while I rapped, and it sounded amazing! Imagine a drum giving the beats, bass with sick basslines covering it, and a very fast rap over the whole thing. We almost gave up blues to pursue that :P Just kidding of course.

So, your stories?

that is the time where we usually learn covers. It usually starts with me playing the bass line to some 80's era thrash/punk/hardcore song that brings back memories. then we learn it, and put it in our list of possibilities to play at gigs.

In the summer, it also turns into grilling out and sitting on the deck all night

You write songs during practice? That sounds like a waste of time if you are paying for the place We write the songs at bandmate's place, get a few beers in and take out a pen

EDIT: I don't know if you meant lyrics or music, sorry if I misunderstood

We dropped acid after practice once in '77.

I had an interesting conversation with our guitarist's dog...

The drummer swore he instantly learned to play keyboards that night. He couldn't the next...
