I'm thinking language, not musical sequences...
I just read a post in the Basses forum that included the deathless phrase "plays like butter". THAT has to be one of the worst cliches around when it comes to basses or guitars.

| | | | This isnt really a phrase but more on equipment. 8x10's, cant stand them. And what's really sad is I own one. The only reason I own it is it's got enough headroom in it's power rating that I will probably never blow it up with 500watts that I have been using for a while now. But what I do like is a 2x15 stack, always been a fan of 15's for lows and 12's for rippin' mids.

You mean it requires near-constant attention from a team of mechanics and highly-trained electronics specialists? |
