Another thread reminded me. A while ago I played at a "Muso's Club" which was a dingy backstreet upstairs hall with a bar but it was owned by the club and any muso could join.

I was there on open jam night. Backline and instruments owned by club by virtue of donations. There was a small annual subscription but the sale of booze must cover the lease. Many a wild night is had there.

Anyone else?

Edited the title, might get some more interesting stories than mine??

btw, at that gig I was told I was the "worst bass player ever", by a lead guitard crap bassist, of all people.
