It was my first time out home in a while , so I decided to get my buddies together for a jam.It was pretty cool,we sometimes record some stuff and I finally got to test out some new equipment in a band situation. I decided at this particular jam to bring my Cort GB44 as well as my Fender rumble 150 and my MXR Distortion plus.We decided to just jam for a bit and someone suggested a white stripes tune. I was fine with that but wanted to add a little something to the mix so I eq'd my bass and amp, then kicked on the overdrive channel on the amp and paired that with the MXR distortion plus.It was pretty cool how well it sat in the mix,but afterwards the lead guitarist kept jokingly calling my bass a "dirty b***h" ,I think I like the name because now all of my basses have nicknames haha ,I think the guitarists were kind of sad because my bass was pretty overpowering and my distortion was more aggressive than theirs.

Try it, though. You might like it. It's fun.

Well I guess it depends on what kind of bass it is. My p-bass,when played through the same setup, Doesn't seem to be as aggressive as the GB44.But the GB44 has the stock MM style pickup and the p-bass is equipped with SD quarter pounder's.I kind of like the new nickname because I hate naming my basses myself,I like when other people give them names. So far my basses are: The Dirty B***h, The four string groove , The Gibenderson Fartist bass and the Ron hoppus.
