This weekend I was playing 2 shows, I'm still waiting for tuners to repair my danelectro 63, so I decided to borrow my friends bass.
After soundcheck on Friday, I decided to go outside for smoke, and when i come back, I see my drummer holding my friends bass in his hands, and he says to me " I didn't do it." not knowing what he's talking about I look at the bass and F**cking Tuner is snapped off. So that night I had to borrow a fellow band bass.
Fast forward to Saturday, I repair the bass with a leftover tuner I had sitting around. I was so relieved to have it it fix.
Come Sunday, I was playing a house show in a basement. Happy to finally use this beautiful bass for a gig, I start to turn before soundcheck, and my Low-E is tuning down for some reason when i'm going up. Low and behold the sh1tty plastic tuner was cracked in half, putting another huge weight on my shoulder. I was stuck using a fender P-bass(hello midrange!)
Still trying to get another peice, so my friend doesn't find out about this bass. Overall this weekend sucked.
P.S. My drummer is now restricted from touching my basses. He snapped the tuning key clean off my 63 Dano, when he threw it across a parking lot. |
