My first show this Saturday!

I'm so excited. I get jumpier every day. I've been playing bass for 2 years now and I am so ready for this show. My confidence level just gets better and better the more I play bass but I still humble myself so I don't get an ego. So don't worry about that. The sad thing is, the band breaks up after our first show cause the guitarist is moving. The good thing is, everyone else in the band is gonna make a new one. I'm so excited, I'll have to post pics and everything. I'm gonna try to get my brother's wife to film the whole thing. I'm gonna stop acting like a kid the night before Christmas now.

Never stop acting that excited to be playing music! It's hard to come by people who get genuinely excited about playing gigs nowadays, treasure it

Best of luck to you! Definitely let us all know how it goes

Gratz and good luck with the first gig.

Also, be sure to check your tuning right before going on stage. At my first gig I sound checked for the opening band because they're bass player wasn't there and they tuned down a half step. So when we started our first song I was off by a half a step. The first note I ever played on stage was wrong and I had to try and play my first song up a half step. Would be easy now, but I'd only been playing a few months at the time.

OMFG, it's was frigin awesome! gig went well despite the countless mistakes me and the guitarist made... but damn we had so much fun! the adrenaline pumping through u after it... incredible.

although.. now it feels like nothing happened.. And better yet.. about 10 musician friend came after the show and greeted me like nice gig.. also one fellow bassist, came and said You are a lot better than I thought.

Just wow. Also we beat the major act of today hands down... after our performance half of the audience left We had few nice moshpits going on there too :P
