Those dang floorwarts failed on me on that gig (bad cable), so I had to play directly to the amp; next day in another gig I only played with 5 of'em and returned to a "less is more" approach.

My .02 for both of the happy couple: Have fun, always be patient, be willing to adapt, learn that anger/sarcasm/etc. add nothing to the logic of your argument, be able to walk away from an argument and address the issue later when everyone is calm, focus on the positives of your lives, speak in terms of facts, not gossip, don't deal in drama, and most importantly: seriously consider your bride may be correct.
