| My Saturday Night Gig Was Canceled!

Dang! Was scheduled to play for the Serenity/Firefly convention this weekend in Burbank, CA with Marian Call, an Alaska/Seattle singer. She called yesterday to say that the gig was cut down to just acoustic guitars, no drums or bass, and only 3 songs during dessert. ( www.myspace.com/mariancall ) I had worked up the charts, had a run through rehearsal and was ready to check out the 'brown coats' up close.
Interestingly, she asked me to play it funky and I did. When I listened to the CD's after the rehearsal I realized that they have a world/pop sound. Who knows maybe I was cut from the show?
Anyway, I hate it when gigs get canceled.
