The entire reason I started playing electric bass and got into a band was my cousin, that always looked up to as a kid, and always wanted to jam with him. He was in a band called Dafino, just incase you've heard of them, they moved from a tiny Wisconsin town, Horicon, out to Cali to try to make it big, but they never caught on. They were an experimental rock band with some rap to it. They gave it 5 solid years of hard trying, but ended up breaking up because of their lives. Yada yada yada, my cousin got married, moved to Scottland for his wifes schooling, so I thought I would never be able to play with him, until he came for Christmas, and since he was back, his bandmates and friends all came to our family's party. We ended up jamming for 4 hours...and those 4 hours I was the happist I had ever been in my life. A wish i had since I started playing electric bass came true. It's hard too explain how I felt, I had no clue what I was playing but it felt right, it was the best I ever played. Right then and there I realized that I wanted music in my life until I can physically not play anymore. It also made me realize that I have a lot of talent that I didnt know about and I need to refine. That one moment I will always remember, playing with my cousin, and it has completely changed my life.
I thought Id just sharey story with you guys...
Max

Personally, I think that some people are genetically designed to be musicians and others are not. In spite of that, I think that ALL humans can enjoy music; some as players and some as listeners. Thanks for sharing your story...Very cool!

But I was reading my post again, and...I miss that moment so much, because I have not jammed/played with a band or gigged in months, my life has taken a slight detour from music. I still play everyday but playing by yourself just doesn't cut it. It's like I'm in music withdrawal and I need my fix. BAD! I pray, that soon, once again I will be able to feel that groove drive me down the road of life and music. And thanks to everyone with the kind words, and I hope that you too can feel like I did, It really is a great feeling.
Ok, now I'm down with all the touch feely stuff, I need to go out and ROCK! |

Yes, go out and ROCK!
