Every time that I log on to Talk Bass this week I see MysticMichael's avatar. Don't get me wrong cause I think he's a great TB'er but his avatar is starting to haunt me or is it really ground hog day. LOL

I believe that is Salvador Dali.

The funny thing is I am a later supporting member, and yet my avatar isn't showing up.

Salvador Dali, right? Or did you mean "What is an avatar?"?

Yeah, I was beginning to think that we were in the midst of an unprecedented dry run with no new Supporting Members...

I thought the same thing. I only get on TB on the weekends and couldn't figure out why this hadn't changed all week.

If you do a google image search for "Salvador Dali at sea" you will find this pic out there on the web. And if you are into surrealism and surrealist photography you will find some other cool stuff as well.

Um, it is still there, and it's been creeping me out for a few days as well. Something very fishy is going on here....

Salvador Dali is about my favorite Artist, ever since I saw the Dali museum in St. Pete, FL. If you ever get the chance to see this fine exhibition, do so. You will not be disappointed.

I don't think I have ever seen the line between genius and bat-poop crazy so thoroughly blurred.

I have about 20 (SFW) prints of his paintings up around my cubicle at work. It makes work more enjoyable.

Dali is like the Les Claypool of the 20th Centrury art/photography world, and that says a lot, conisdering some of the other artists of his time. I do black and white silver print photography myself and I am amazed at the creativity of Dali.
