Both have nice curves! Maybe that is why I like the shape of a jazz bass so much!

A Bass Guitar is masculine not feminine. Guitars and keyboards play pretty quaint melodies that are pretty and sweet. But a bass guitar has to be kept chained up in the basement to protect the women and children. We don't play sweet pretty melodies on our basses. When we play notes we rattle the floor. We don't dare lay chords because we might knock the planets out of alignment. We put the sub in subwoofer. We are the force that puts people on the dance floor. We tie the pretty melodic guitars and keyboards together with the drums. We make the band groove. But are basses are not feminine. We make the deep low masculine notes.

Slapping is best used sparingly? And never done in Guitar Center in front of witnesses?

If you're not careful, both may embarrass you in public.

Ric5, interesting but I'd rather not touch a male the way I touch my basses- and on THAT note, somewhat dis-similarly to most of my limited experience w/women, basses don't care how many others you have in your stable/harem.

Heavy ones tend to be left at home and get little action.

They both look great with a little polish, and good specimens of both melt in my hands.
