We were scheduled to play for a festival in july, but got bumped because the headliner, Sevendust, showed up 3 hours late and they were three hours late getting everything set up... all the afternoon entertainment got bumped, not just us.
anyway... Last night killed. We shared the night with a well known local band who recently signed with Alive Records, Left Lane Cruiser. They play a dirty, heavy delta blues and are a drums/guitar duo (no bass - boo)...
Lots of people showed and we were all over it. Opened with a funk jam based on "Give Up The Funk" and then into "People Say". My old guitar player and both of the LLC guys joined us for an instrumental jam on "Spirits in a Material World" and "Catfish Blues" about 1/2 way through the night and after we thought we were done a sax player in town showed up so we did an impromptu version of "Fire on the Bayou". Great first show, perhaps the best first show by any band ever
