This one is as good as the Manring "Teen Town" parody. I think the same guy did this one too.

I wouldn't doubt it, or someone who knows how to play really good. Even his crappy playing sounds decent.

That one was very well done, it's a shame that the idea is as stale as a year old loaf of bread.

Try playing the original and the parody in parallel.

So the guy in the vid playing the Jaydee is not Mark King? What is the point of this video? I mean, Level 42 was/is famous, but King could walk the street in most American towns and not be asked who he was.

Couldn't find it amusing simply because I don't know why he'd waste time imitating a not-so-famous musician. Imitating Manring, that's even stranger, as fewer people know who he is than know King. Besides, if I wanted to parody a bassist, I'd parody Lemmy or someone like that.

The guy in the video is Mark King but it's overdubbed with someone trying to emulate his playing with a bunch of sloppy playing and making it sound like he sounds like crap, which anyone who knows Mark King knows otherwise. It's just funny to see it look so close to what he's playing because this video was done so well. The Michael Manring Parody was just as good IMO. Here's the link to that one:

That Manring one killed me. Doesn't some of the real version feature some looping that Manring plays over? Taking that away and replacing it with all the sounds of scratchy pots and cables made me shoot coffee through my nose. And that empty auditorium reverb sound... Fantastic!

Could you link me to the Toto one? I'm dying to see someone make fun of Toto but I can't find it anywhere on the 'tube.

Nobody knows Lemmy too.
No need to parody him anyways , his playing is bad enough.

+1

Given how good this "parodie" player is, it would undoubtedly be a massive improvement over Lemmy's real playing!
