The Next Queen?

Sign in to disble this ad
One of the folks at work asked me if Kate Middleton will be the next Queen. I thought a few seconds and replied "there's no chance. Queen had a string of huge hits in the 70's and 80's and Kate's got very little experience in the music industry."

- origin unknown.

Uh, no. When Queen Elizabeth was crowned in the 50's, they did not make her husband King! Kate has married in, but will not be Queen...

As far as I know she will always be a princess but never a very influential rock band from the 70's and 80's.

Google Images, with Safe Search off by default: "Ghetto Black Woman" after a few other searches. Yeah, I went there.

If a woman marries Prince she becomes Queen, if a man marries a princess he does not become king.

Once he becomes king, she will become a queen consort. She will be referred to as the queen but won't have the same authority as if she actually had inherited the throne. If they have children the first born male will become king and she will be known as the queen mother.

+1 If she was born in she would become Queen Regant.

The Law clearly states:

If she can play the Bass, she is the Queen.

If not, then she's the Groupie.

In theory, the Queen can cancel parliament and assume complete power.

In practice, people would just laugh at her and kick her out if she tried to do anything close to that.
