One of the folks at work asked me if Kate Middleton will be the next Queen. I thought a few seconds and replied "there's no chance. Queen had a string of huge hits in the 70's and 80's and Kate's got very little experience in the music industry."
- origin unknown.

She will be referred to as the queen but won't have the same authority as if she actually had inherited the throne. If they have children the first born male will become king and she will be known as the queen mother.

If she can play the Bass, she is the Queen.
If not, then she's the Groupie.

In practice, people would just laugh at her and kick her out if she tried to do anything close to that.
