A night of firsts!

Sign in to disble this ad
o first time the audience has sang the lyrics louder than the dinger could through the PA

o first time the audience shouted for an encore (and we gave them one!!!)

o first monumental screw up on my behalf:P The song we played for the encore was "killing in the name of" by RATM and I totally blanked on how to play THE ENTIRE SONG! It went unnoticed until the bass solo in the intro... Luckily we Were able to pull "technical difficulties" since a mic was feeding back enormously. So we started over and I remembered how it went (thank god).

o also first time we were told that we were the best band of the night (5 bands played tonight)

o AND the first time that an adult has come up to the group and say that we have found our niche and that we need to keep playing.

o First time that I have been involved in a mosh pit!

o one more! First gig on the new parts P!

Overall incredible night and *****NG AWESOME GIG!!!!!

Pics to come and likely video evidence of my monumental screw up!

And here I thought that something truly wonderful happened - like Samthe bassist came out to your gig, was impressed, and gave you a kiss

Seriously - big props. A great gig is a thing of beauty, and does indeed fill you with good feelings for a long time.
