Noseflute

Sign in to disble this ad
Besides my band I'm playing in a little folk-project. There, I am forced to play the noseflute (besides bass). I really have no problem looking funny on stage and after some time I got used to this funny little instrument. Has anyone ever tried to play bass and noseflute simultaneously? How can i fix the flute on my nose so I can have the hands free for bass playing (rubber bands, other devices?)?

btw, I posted this in bass-humor because there IS laughter in the audience when I start to play this intriguing little instrument.

greetings

Martin

*lol* ... die Humorabteilung passt wirklich am Besten :-)

I cannot imagine anything non-permanent holding a noseflute up against your face.
I cannot help myself from thinking of Loctite or staples ...

P.S.: bereits auf www.bassic.ch gewesen?

This guy used a rubberband: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxEDrdoKRcE

I never heard of a noseflute, so I had to search the interwebz to find it.

Coat hanger or other good stiff wire rigged to a harmonica holder or my favorite, wired to a mic holder and.mounted on a mic stand. Bend the wire around at the end to get a good surface to adhere to.

This thread caught my attention because I have a bamboo nose flute my grandparents got in the Philippines around 1915. I don't know about playing it and bass since it has holes to be covered with the fingers. It's also hard to play with a cold.
However (this should go in the "no you can't borrow my amp" thread) if someone asks to borrow your equipment you can offer to lend them your nose flute!
