Not JUST the Bass Player?!

My band rehearses in the drummer's unfinished basement. It has really low cielings. I noticed that when I tune or am noodling and the rest of the band is silent there is a high- pitched buzz. I thought it was my amp and spent last rehearsal checking it out. Turns out I'm not only playing my bass, but the drummers cymbals and the duct work in the basement!! It starts somewhere between low G and the second octave. Not noticeable when everyone is playing, so it's funny instead of being a problem ;-D Cheers!

Back in high school, I was playing in a buddy's basement through a stack that had, among other things, a Peavey Super Festival F-800 going into 2 18" folded cabinets. Oddly enough, the kitchen was right above us. 3rd song in, mom comes running downstairs in a huff saying that I had rattled a bunch of plates out of the kitchen cabinets and knocked 2 pictures off of the wall in the den....

I think I was playing the whole house!
