Odd gig items?

Anyone bring any odd items to gigs?

I bring a pair of nail clippers because I cut my right forefinger's tip off the nail grows past the skin in parts. So I gotta clip the sucker to prevent weird little clicks while I play.

A small carpet. Put myself and the pedals on it, so the pedals do not slip, and I've got something softer than the floor to stay on my feet.

a tie. I tie a loop on the side of my rig, and I hang all my chords through it.

An extension cord. I have only played one gig where I didn't need an extension cord and that was in a very small studio.

I've got a small, black "rubber ducky" with little orange horns. It came in an Axe Body Spray pack. He sits on my LittleMark grinning a dumb little ducky grin.
I also take one of those socket testers that shows LEDs for open or missing grounds, and reversed hot and neutral poles. I will never play if it shows anything other than perfect.

Superglue. To use as a protective shield in case my blisters decide to tear. Does a good job to cover up the raw new skin until it gets a chance to heal.

Of course you porkchop players don't get real blisters.

Nail clippers too for right hand nails (I'm left handed), but also for this little 'skin nodule' (not a wart) that keeps growing back on my right hand pinky's pad, right where the string goes across it. It's like having a splinter and I chew it out with the fingernail clipper when it gets to uncomfortable.

Fingernail file for left hand nails.

A little piece of open grain sandpaper for the nails on the picking hand. Sometimes I can smooth and round the edges off better so there's no 'click.'

A pump bottle of that waterless handwash gel.

Mechanical pencil.

lamp oil - for putting into my mouth and spitting over a torch.

Torch - for spitting the lamp oil over.

Fake blood - made from sugar free vanilla yogurt and red food coloring, watered down slightly.

7" platform boots - the better to stomp around with.

studded leather codpiece - great for scratching the hell outta my stingray 5.

Well, I guess it just depends on the context. In our case, we don't catch nearly as much crap as we do a$$.

I like to bring my guitar and amp. Those come in real handy. Sometimes I like to bring a guitarist just for s***s and giggles. Singers are a cool novelty as well.
