Old School Slap Bass Instructional Videos

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey Everyone,

I'm working on making a demo video for the new Soundblox Bass Envelope Filter and I am thinking (at least for now) that it would be fun to emulate a late 80's/early 90's slap bass instructional video. I can't seem to dig up any on the web...can any of you link me to some of the goofiest looking dudes slapping their basses you can find?

Also, what are the quintessential elements I need to include to make this video really work?

So far, I'm thinking I need to have my strap realllllll high and I should be in front of like an elementary school portrait background.

WILL!!!!! Haven't seen you around the forum in a few weeks. Great news on the BEF!!!!

For the video, save some of the more indepth tech talk for a q&a thread/youtube comments/facebook/etc. Just play that thing like it owes you money and give a good sweep of the controls to cover all of it's ranges. Sooooooo excited!!!!!

Oh, and wear some hammer pants and high tops with your sweater vest.
