I dig, but yea, the drummer can lay off a little.

+100 on the Who comparisons. If you could get the drummer to take it down a notch and prevent him from filling every measure with endless Keith Moon triplets, it would help the groove tremendously.

That said, I like the song and your fills are very Entwhistle-esque. Solid playing, well done.

Thanks for the kind comments. I think a valuable lesson to be learned is never record in a studio without using a click track. I certainly wouldn't say that timing or should I say timing accuracy is one of my strong points. One to work on methinks.

Don't get too hung up on the click for recording. Use a metronome for your solo practice, and get the drummer to relax some and not fill every single measure with triplets. The tempo should stabilize after that.

The reason Entwhistle was such a solid player was Keith Moon. John had to keep time and tempo since Moon was all over the place. From Wikipedia:

Quote:
Indeed, Townshend noted that Entwistle did the rhythmic timekeeping in the band, doing the role of the drummer. Moon, on the other hand, with all his flourishes around the kit, was like a keyboard player.
The song sounded good. Slip the drummer a Xanax and keep at it!!!
