party tonight... going to be odd

Well... My main band, Dying Serenity, can't play this cool party tonight because the singer and drummer work until about 1:00 AM, and the other band, Disparity, had to back out... so it's just going to be my new death metal band, Horrid Disembowelment.

The thing is, we will only be playing three songs, a total length of seven minutes, ten if he talks to the crowd for an extended amount of time

So I am going to talk to my guitar play in DS/drummer in HD ( same guy ) and see if he wants to do some jamming to eat up some time after we finish the songs. I was thinking we can do Metallica's For Whom The Bell Tolls with me on bass and him on vocals and drums, do most of Primus's Too Many Puppies with me on bass and vocals ( I can't sing at all so of course it will sound just right, it's Primus ), do some improv with bass and drums, and possibly play to a cd through the PA just 'cause there won't be anything else for entertainment except beer haha

And maybe the guitar player/singer from HD will play spirit crusher by Death for us lol he knows it all...

HAHA, and we could probably bust out a bass and drum version of Run to the Hills

What do you all think? It's just a kegger with friends btw lol

How about an extended improvised version of Pulling Teeth to kill a half hour or so? Record your planned songs plus this one, and playback on a loop - by the time it gets half way through its first loop, people might be too drunk to notice.

wait for the group to be a good buzz on, then you can just play the opening riff to songs they know and they will go NUTS. just make sure you get the first riff right, after that it won't matter lol yes I have tried this at keggers with GREAT results lolol

UPDATES

We didn't play it

We got down Bashed and Mutilated, and R*** of Innocence, we taught our guitar player/singer For Whom The Bell Tolls in a matter of 30 minutes or so. we even had a huge pa and everything ready.

as we pull up two guys climb onto the top of my dad's car. My guitar player and I yell " Get off of the ( explicit ) car now! " and they run off, literally scared

I bring out a little bit of gear and people begin to bump into me and get rowdy

so far it was alright... but then this guy begins driving around as I walk back to the car to get more gear and almost hits me, and he does hit the host of the party whom rolls over the top of the vehicle or something like that ( I didn't watch it all ).

I walked back to were I left my gear, brought my bass and amp back to the car, told everyone this was too much and it was too rowdy ( but left on good terms with everyone ) and drove off.

I wanted to play, but that was over my limit.

Bailing on a gig because it's too rowdy? You're not metal. . .

HAHA

first of all, I really don't care about how ' metal ' or ' kvlt ' people think I am ( even though you were just joking )

and well, I've played to rowdy people, but people driving around trying to hit others with cars and starting fights... that is too far.
