Penn plays bass while describing Tellers's sleight of hand tricks. Well done!

Hey - I wonder if the bass is real, or sleight of hand?

You really need to get Bongos Bass & Bob with Penn on bass. Hilarious record!

Penn is just so big, that bass looks like a ukulele!

I was lucky enough to see them in Las Vegas on my honeymoon last year, and met them briefly afterwards.

Penn used to play bass over the opening credits of their TV show about 15 years ago, I used to love playing along with it

Penn Jillette also plays upright. And he usually plays a set with a trio before his act as part of Penn & Teller at The Rio in Las Vegas.

Greetings from the North,

I think he may have been another musician turned comic/actor/performer. Chevy Chase, Joe Pesci, Tommy Chong, Steve Martin and more all played before their careers took off on other stages.

Not to derail but...

I was never able to speak while playing. I can sing, but I can't converse at all. My brain short circuits when I try and I either have to stop playing to speak, or stop speaking to play. It has always intrigued me, and I've been playing for 35+ years. Best I can figure is that the two sides of my brain don't like to share prominence, so it's either right side or left side at a time. Singing is more right side because it's part of the music and I'm not making up words, only making word-sounds to go with music-sounds.

Ted Theodore Lo..I mean Keanu Reeves as well, and he's unintentionally funny sometimes. I saw Dogstar once and enjoyed them well enough. He gets a lot of crap for that band, but I've certainly seen worse.

Joe Piscapo is a passable rock drummer as well.

I was thinking this recently. I know Gary "LT. Dan" Sinise is pretty good. John C. Reilly plays, too (but I've yet to find him playing live).
