I'm guessing that the only people that hate others who must have the last word also would like the last word.

I tend to politely say "You may have the last word". This either gets a laugh, or anger. Be careful.

Usually a sign of a narcissistic personality type. Thry feel inherently that allowing someone to have the last work is demeaning.

Yeah, my boss always has to the last word, even if shes wrong she will change the subject and say have you done such and such yet.

I've learnt to let it just wash over me.
