I love talking to people during shows and go out of my way to accomodate them! Especially the ones who stay for the sets, come to multiple shows, and ask bass questions!

But Please, NOT during songs, and DEFINITELY NOT during SOLOS!

It used to happen occaisionally, but seems that this trend is on the rise. Sometimes it can even be funny.

<Just venting...>

I had a guy follow me into the restroom after a set. Not the place I want to make small talk.

or there's always the really drunk guy/gal that starts talking/slurring to you.. and talking.... and talking............and talking....... after what seems like forever, you find yourself trying to gracefully back away while still appearing interested. They're still talking...

Or when a really really really drunk guy/girl gets in the mosh pit (if you play music where there is a pit) and is the only one moshing with him/herself. They're hitting the other "people" in the pit and getting hit. I must say that's rather entertaining.

They're usually requesting a list of songs you hate...

Happened during a recent load-out. Her friend pulled the car right in front, yelling and flashing the headlights. ten minutes later...

Those people drive me nuts.

At our last show, I had a drunk chick that kept climbing up on stage *over* our live pyro to talk to me, rub on me etc. during songs.

Somehow she mistook "Get the hell off the stage before you get blown up!" to be "Get the hell on stage so you can feel me up!"

Or sumthin a lot like that.

Not only do they endlessly ask for songs, but they think they deserve a prize because they just love to ask for stuff that is apparently inappropriate for the setting.

Then if you don't know their request they start telling you the lyrics, or if they play guitar they start telling you the chords, as if that will help you play a song you already told them you've never heard before.

Anyone else recognize that situation?

I love it when you have one song that everyone knows, and they start requesting it by the third song in your set... especially when it's planned to be your strong closer. *sigh*

I actually had a fan once grab my setlist early in the second set and CROSS OUT every song between where we were and the song she wanted.

I've always enjoyed watching the drunk guys/gals at rock shows screaming at the band trying to get them to play Ozzy or Slayer stuff.

"Ozzy!! Ozzy!! Ozzy!! Ozzy!!"

ArgH! I hate stuff like that!! Last gig ("all nighter", with 4 sets mind you), I had some fan grab the set list while we're playing, walk away with it, only to bring it back editted to only the songs they wanted to hear next set. all cheesy covers of course... (normally we about 60/40 covers to origs) aggravating.
