Sign in to disble this ad
Does anyone here name each guitar/amp they own? or am I the only one?

If you do, list what it is and what it's called.

Mine are:
BC Rich Zombie Bass - "Lord Bub"
Vintage Wraith - "Grimlock"
Washburn xb-125 - "Gringo"
Yamaha RBX 175 - "Blue Midget"
Peavey Tour 700 - "Lord Humungus"

Am I strange?

I don't name my gear ... I play it. But ... I often refer to my new upright bass as "the blond".

I too refer to my guitars and basses collectively as my bitches. However, I used to own a bright yellow strat known affectionately as the electric banana.

I don't do this, but I teach middle school orchestra and I discovered that every songle kid in my class has given a name to their instruments - I really enjoy finding them out!

There has never been an actual name for a bass that I can recall - but with all of my basses but they are always a pronoun: "She", "Her", etc.
My current gigging amp (whichever it may be at that time) is always simply "The Rig" after the honeymoon ends.

My Carvin 5 is "Cool Hand", 5 strings, 5 fingers, my R&B/jazz machine.
The MM Sterling 4 is "Lil Blue", and is sparkle blue.
Don't have names for my 76 Gibson Ripper or the EUB.
