My third time playing in public, but my first time a photo was taken of me. It was karaoke night at the club, and they don't use the stage on Wed. but my friend was singing while I was playing. I had a blast!! And I actually had a smile on my face too! Normally I don't smile when I play b/c I guess I concentrate a lot.

Awesome! and bare feet... the only way to feel the groove!

by far my preferred stage attire when I'm playing (or flip flops)

great to see you getting a chance to get out and play as well! keep rockin'

Sleeveless shirt, denim shorts, barefoot... funny, I go the other way (polo or oxford shirts, slacks, loafers)... Sometimes I wear a T-shirt (with an undershirt also) on stage, but I dislike being barefoot. Too much broken glass on bar floors, if you ask me

Is that your monster bass rig behind you, or is that part of the PA system?

part of the PA system...we weren't playing on the stage..now the guy I am with is the bass player for the band that plays there. He has a neat set up and I love the way my bass sounds there. Then I come home, and plug into my small amp and...
sigh one day....
here is his rig that I was using

behind him-you can sort of see it....

thanks! I know and learning a variety of genres but know most on country music. I was playing Goodbye Time by Blake Shelton/Conway Twitty in this photo.
In due time I will get into more complicated stuff..but seeing that I only been playing like 10 months, I am learning every day.

Your shirt kicks ass. I want something like that. Or, a guy version of it, anyway.

shoes/sneakers in a bar... always... you never know what's underfoot... and you do not want to find yourself stepping on some broken glass...

Actually, I would imagine that you would get some inane fisherman trying to be your friend unless you had a bass clef on that shirt......

hahahaha...up here, Selena would get tons of offers to go Fishin' with that shirt.

No bad intentions intended, they would actually take her out in the boat, hand her a fishin' rod and say...here's the worms, bait you own hook, and pass me a beer while you're at it.
