we were the last act for the opening night of the Special Olympics. The event was held in a new 5000 seat arena. State-of-the-art sound,lighting, and jumbo-tron, that's right JUMBO-TRON!!!
Surprising lessons learned;
There IS such thing as arena sound, and its great!
Low stage volume is your friend. I could acually talk(not yell) to my band mates.
Knowledgable sound men are worth their weight in gold!
I got to be Geddy for a night(except he can play bass). It was a charitable gig (free) but, what a great cause. I'll fly high on this for weeks! |
