Yup. That's right the baseball stadium.

The set up was: I was with friends there watching a game in April but it was cold and our lady friends wanted to go, but we talked them into going into one of the stadium pubs instead. In we walked and I saw the stage. I aksed our waitress: "so...you have bands booked to play here?"

She said: "They haven't yet, but the manager's here. You can ask him".

So I did. I told him what our job as a rock band was, which in this case is: Audience Retention. Chick Retention. That is EXACTLY what I told the manager. He asked for my number, I gave it to him. They called and we them sent a promo pack, they called again and we hashed out pay, parking passes, & passes to watch the game. We played for 2 hours before game time & 2 hours after. And we worked out our pay based more on the amount of time than anything else.

They LOVED us. We're now in the rotation...they had to kick people out because they kept demanding we keep playing.

All I did was ask.

We're booked again Friday night when Detroit plays Cleveland. Gee.

They want us on a "regular schedule".

Excellent!
Right place at the right time. It never hurts to ask.

Any links to your band?

Congrats.
