Thumbs up Pleasant surprise for my band... and you can help!

So, I just found out that my band, RIFF/RAFF, is part of the "A-List" contest for best Local Band, sponsored by the local ABC affiliate here in the Sacramento area. We're not sure how that happened, but it was a pleasant surprise.

http://kcra.cityvoter.com/contests/2...nt/local-bands

It may be a little late in the game, but we'd love to take a run at winning this. If anyone doesn't mind helping a fellow TB'er, please sign up to be a member of the KCRA website -- I'd appreciate your vote for RIFF/RAFF! The sign-up process is simple and takes just a minute.

Rock on!

I'd appreciate a bump too.

You should tell people you're on the 3rd page too. Makes it a little easier. I guess I just did it for ya.

I'm not sure if the pages load randomly, but Riff/Raff is on page one now, and in 15th place overall.

Thanks Joe! I'll be hitting you up shortly to help you out.

And, the KCRA pages do seem to load randomly so you may have to page through a couple of pages to find us.

SCREW THAT!

Please vote for Stereo Earth!

Goddamned... we're 60th! Even one of my other bands that I auditioned for and ran away scremaning 'cause they sucked terribly are ahead of us! Egads...

Jeff62 - Good luck with yours, too.... Actually, I didn't even know about this until you posted this up here...

There's some other killer bands on there, too!

Shakedown is absolutely killer.

Bucho is awesome, sort of like Sade meets Ozomatli and that funky band with that massive hit a few years ago who I can't remember.

2me has some killer bluegrass/folky stuff, and they're great players. Man, they sound good.

Fair Trade, Two Sheds, Kate Gaffney, Rowdy Kate, wow.. the list goes on.

Ok... I better stop... There's tons of good bands on that list, and it kind of makes me proud of our music scene here in Sacto... just not proud of our apathetic and disinterested audience. Ug.

Thanks to Jayce, WalWarrior and Kickstand. Much appreciated. Just let me know when you need the favor returned.

Good luck to you too, Uber. We do have a pretty good music scene here...
