You want embarrassing? You got it!

Me in 1983 in Sapporo, Japan. What's so embarrassing, you ask?

Well, how about the fact that the sweat stains under my arms are so gigantic they're spreading out from under my sweater-vest? It really helps that I'm wearing a shirt with a lined pattern that darkens dramatically when moistened, like some kind of chemical test strip cops use to detect narcotics.

I could've used some narcotics that night. What you're seeing is genuine, unadulterated, 100-percent pure flop-sweat.

Sometimes we have to actually do things in order to learn that they don't work.

The Golden Mean, immediately following our first and only show, Oakland, April 2010.

Guess which one of us quit the band via email the next day?

It was only one show, but we killed. The Golden Mean rocks.

Nope, not 8, but yeah, mean. It was a GIFT from a girl I had met just two weeks before...She hocked her car for the dough. I coulda killed her for that, but wound up marrying her two years later, still together today; Me, the girl, the Spector...

Aw c'mon, it was just girlie clothes and some eyeliner!

OK, the 160 par 64s, hundreds of rainlites and numerous flashpots made for a good time...

And hey--We played a song by Adam Bomb called "SST"...

That darn obligatory brick wall. My band in 1987. I sure do miss my 1965 Triumph T120 Home Model. That's me winking in front....duh.

We opened for Cheap Trick in Tucson at the start of their Lap of Luxury tour. Tom Petersson had an 8 string and the original "Hamer Quad" with him. He didn't let me play them, probably my fault because I didn't ask...

Hey - thanks, bro! And yes, actually, the guitarist from that band and I are back together, in a trio that sounds a lot like The Golden Mean. Still in the early stages but fun fun.
