Prince sat in with us!

We got a big surprise in January. We were playing our rutine Saturday gig, when we see Prince walking through the door. He asked the guitar player if he could borrow his guitar and play. Then he proceeded to take a 24-bar solo, or so, and left.

Pretty sureal, and cool. He was so close to me that I thought of smacking him upside the head, but he had two big guards with him.

We had a similar visit by Mosdef during our set a few month ago, but he didn't jam with us.

You mean he wasn't surround by bodyguards?? That must have been cool! And you have a pic to prove it!

That is so awesome. You should've challenged him and his crew to a game of hoops. Shirts vs. blouses.

He sits in a lot, he did the same out here. Seems like he never sleeps. He was weird about hygiene, he had hand cleaner goin' the whole time.

It must be pretty cool having that kind of power - that you can walk into a bar, ask the band if you can to sit in, they let you do it simply because you're you, you play a solo, and then just walk out!

Say what you want about the purple one, but he's a darn good musician and showman.

My friend played percussion with him; when they would hit the road, she'd say "I'm goin' out with "The Little Guy".

I think it's funny that every single person in the photo is thinking the exact same thing.

"Holy crap, that's Prince, and he's ripping an awesome solo in my band"
