Program a bored bassist simulator
From an electronic music forum...
So, a piece of software that would allow you to put in a quarter-note bassline playing roots, and it would give you back way too many notes, random seconds/fifths/sevenths/octaves/fourths when the root stays the same, unnecessary fills between root changes, and generally simulating the worst traits of the stereotypical bored bassist? |
I'm kind of joking, but not completely. It would be possible, and if it had a boredom parameter that could be turned down to a lower value and maybe occasionally turned up towards the end of a verse, it could be actually useful.
Seems like that should be a bass humor topic. If you were programming a bored bassist simulator, what would you have the boredom knob control? Should there be a rock/fusion/funk/metal switch switching between different bassist stereotypes?
