The price is probably in line though ... those guitars go for $250K |

$800 for the screws? wow... I hope I never meet anybody that dumb to pay that much for a couple nickle plated screws with a supposed history.

I was at a guitar show a few years ago, and saw an entire pallet of guitars/cases being saran-wrapped for shipping. I asked one of the guys at a booth what the deal was, and he told me that a lot of Japanese buisness men were buying up vintage guitars and having them shipped to Japan. If they're buying like that, .... then who knows -- this offer on ebay might be a bid-war ! |

I'm sure anyone restoring guitars could have someone make copies of those that you would never be able to tell they were not original.

| | | | Thankfully the market place will slap the seller up the side of the head, and kick them down the stairs for good measure in a metaphorical sense. The only thing that would prevent this reality adjustment from happening, is if some idiot with with lots of money to burn, buys them at the vastly over inflated price for whatever incredibly stupid reason. |
