I'm looking for some REAL MUSICIANS in the Santa Barbara area, between the ages of 6-11, for a Big Time music show with full production and Major Recording Industry Studio Contacts. This is going to be HUGE! All musicians must have tour experience, studio/recording experience, pro gear, minimum of 10-12 years experience on their instrument, and parents' permission.
Need: drums, guitar (12-string and double neck), bass (nothing less than 5 strings), and everyone should be comfortable singing at least harmonies. I would prefer you already have your own songs written. I will be singing lead vocals.
The music will be a blend of early Lou Reed/Velvet Underground but with a Jack Johnson/Radiohead vibe.
Serious ONLY!!!!!

Oh, wait, that's probably the case. Because, you know how many 6-11 year olds peruse CL for new gigs.

I hope it's a joke, else someone's dragging down the average IQ of the human race by far more than their fair share.

Surely he's after some kind of musical genius/young prodigy that only could be created by cybernetics or genetic engineering. Not to mention the ability to bend the space/time continuum to allow for 10 years of experience in a life that has only lasted 6-11 Earth Years. Or they would have to be implanted with musical ability in the way that Neo was given fighting skills/knowledge in The Matrix.
Fascinating.
On a side note, I can't tell you how many times I've tried to respond to such adds and therefore get my 'big break' in the Biz with all the perks that go along with that ($$$/large-busted ladies), ONLY to be thwarted by my lack of parental permission. My folks have really held me back........ |
