the redneck gig

Sign in to disble this ad
once my band played this show out in the middle of nowhere by the jail in Brevard county, florida. it was our own mini-woodstock compleat with mud, beer, and dogs fighting. our camera guy's rig got hit with a volley ball, we had to slog through six inches of mud to carry our gear to the stage which was set up in what used to be a retention pond.

seems funny now, but at the time it was horrible.

i do rememeber that they had a parrot there that ate corn chips.

strange...

I grew up in Brevard. It's not all redneck, but enough of it is.

I read it as more of a "normal dogs getting into fights" rather than "organized dogfighting" sort of thing...

I think he means people were fighting dogs. That's still legal.
