Remeber what made you choose or love bass?

Well for me it was listening to The Beatles thanks to my mom and Stevie Ray Vaughn cds and a Weather Report cd thanks to my dad.

Then I showed my mom a song my friend's dad taught me,and low and behold,the next month (which happened to be my birthday) there is a large package for me,and it's a bass.

Been hooked ever since. It's rare I go more than 7 hours without playing.

at the start of high school my friend called me up saying he had gotten a guitar and that we should start a band. i had NEVER played a bass, wouldn't have been able to pick out the sound of it in any song but instantly went and dropped 400 bucks because I figured we would get laid after playing the first note.

It wasn't until I left it next to my bed at night that I realized I could practice, and that practicing meant I might actually get better.
