One day I picked up the bass and out came Little Green Bag by (I think) George Baker Selection. It's so simple I can't believe it took so long for it to happen!

When I started guitar I SWORE I would never learn Stairway to Heaven. 30 years later I'm still true to my word ...

Bet you could play it if there was a grilled cheese sandwich involved ...

True, no one's ever asked me to play it. Hmm, maybe I'll try a reggae version tonight ...

The most common thing to yell at a band over here is "PLAY PARANOID!" or usually more drunkenly "Plouyy Prrnnoiidd". Always refused and always stopped if I felt I was going too close to the opening guitar riff while noodling..

Well.. I was in a party with some co-workers from my previous job. And we had this thing of usually getting really drunk, like 12-year-old- downs-daddys-quarter-of-rum drunk. And sure enough; few days later I get a video to my email of me playing paranoid with an acoustic guitar and unfortunately singing too making the parts I don't remember up (about half of the lyrics seemed to be about the need for someone to order pizzas) while another person is banging on some kitchen ware. The slap guitar solo was pretty interesting though.

Some Hole song which name I cannot remember.

It tends to happen to me a lot when I'm writing though, especially on guitar. I'll be thinking, "Hey, that sounds alright. Kinda familiar..."

Only once the song is finished does it dawn on me what it is, and I usually scrap the song.

HAHA :L

I never really bother to learn Black Sabbath songs, I love the band, I jus like to disappoint people when i tell them that I don't know Paranoid XD

And I always hated being taught Dance Dance by FoB... I didn't know what it was at the time >.<

I didn't necessarily refuse to learn SOTW, but I definitely can't stand it now..

Welcome Home - Coheed and Cambria

Not necessarily the bass line, but the intro guitar riff. Weird.

Coincidentally, Dance Dance is the only song they do that doesn't make me want to rip my eyes out and smear them on random chicks at a fat farm just to drown the pain of hearing their crap.

I tried very hard to learn that one.

The bass riff is super easy though. The video makes it look like he's rockin out way too hard though.

It's honestly not as hard as it sounds. The only thing would be the very slight sweep pick at the beginning that I could see throwing people off. I did it on accident and was like "wait...what was that?" Turns out, I had been to the movies that night and Welcome Home was played during a movie trailer.

It was hard for me because guitar strings throw me off. Too small and close together.

I could see that. I didn't even think "maybe he's playing that on guitar". Stupid me.

I'm playing the intro guitar riff on bass. It just happened that way.

The intro or the main riff?

I worked really hard on learning the intro ... the day I managed it all the way through full speed was the day I thought "well, maybe I don't completely suck"
