Sad day for the future of music.

So I was in the local music store the other day and i saw this kid (about 10 or so) looking at the basses with his parents. I walk up and start toying with this Peavey Millenium and I hear over my shoulder the kid ask his dad "So where's the star power button?"

It's sad when things like this happen.

any time I see a 10 year old kid in a music store shopping for instruments, I consider it a good day for the future of music.

@standupright: it's a Guitar Hero reference

If he's 10 I'd cut him some slack. I work with 10 year olds and they are still very much just little kids. Now if he was an early teen that would be different.

"teen" beeing rooted in the word, "ten." Thinks in terms of decades. the 80's were 1980-89; we are now in the 'teens (2010-2019). It's that simple.

I suck at guitar hero, and I have a master's degree in guitar! Two completely different skill sets. All the guitarists and bassists I know suck at guitar hero. I've even heard of some awesome guitarists who got addicted to the game, and now they suck at real guitar.

Personally I hate how the scroll-y graphics thing doesn't line up with the music, and neither does 'strumming'. I guess I have too much rhythm to play guitar games.

Also, the episode of South Park 'Guitar Queer-O' is quite possibly one of the funniest things ever put on tv. Second only to the one where Cartmen starts a christian rock band. Priceless. Seriously, they're free online go watch them now!
