Second Open Mic

Our band played at another open mic last night, and it was great. Started off shaky, I was pissed and unfortunatley brought that on stage with me. The first couple songs my timing was off, but that did not last the whole show.

The sound guy was really helpful, and this was the first time I could actually hear myself. Gotta say I had a blast. One of the best parts was hearing response from the audience, and getting some compliments from the more well established players on my technique and playing in general.

Is it too early to admit being bitten by the playing live bug? I could not fall asleep for about an hour and a half afterwards.

Playing live is like a heroin addiction. Some people just can't stand on stage a perform but for those of us who can, we can't get enough. At least I know I can't stand to not play a show at least twice a week. I get really itchy if I don't. You've got the bug by the sound of it. Don't let it go.
