LAFF OUT LOUD.

I used to do that to hotlinkers, too. FUN stuff.

Next time, use imageshack, tinyurl, or photobucket. Don't hotlink.

Thing is, linking to pictures that are on another website's server on forums or wherever is generally frowned upon because it can drain the other site's bandwith. Some websites have scripts that turn "hotlinked" pictures into images that say things like "Don't steal our bandwith" or whatever. And as you just saw, others use measures that're a tad more... extreme.

So, in short, if you'd uploaded the picture to www.tinypic.com or some other image hosting site, this wouldn't have happened.

Beaten, by Mo'Phat, I guess.

It's not "fun stuff", it's freakin' offensive. Kids could be looking.

It would have been just as easy to post a "No Hotlinking" sign in the photo's place like other sites do. Instead they post a disgustig picture.

I'm really sorry guys. No offense was intended, except to hairstylists (because of the bad 80's band "mullet" haircuts in the picture)

I feel horrible.

Dark, you have a good enough reputation around here. None of us thought you intentionally did it, at least I didnt. My posts may come off that way, but its just because I wasnt up for seeing that.

Everyone makes mistakes man, no big deal.

Website owners who get dinged for bandwidth overages tend to get pretty upset over time. Sure, they could take the high road...but some don't.

Don't feel horrible. All dirty hotlinkers have been there at some point in their life.

Thanks man - there's no way I would have posted it intentionally.

I say "just close it", like a bad chapter in a book.

I could give you a few Google keywords that might help you find the original pic.

...but you'd probably be scarred for life and/or fired.

I'm sure the intended pic was just fine. The one that showed up was not at all. Nothing to see here. Move on.

Just imagine a bunch of guys wearing spandex, having mullets and mustaches. That's all it was. Not really that exciting.

Google Bum, BJ, and street. You'll find tons of bad 80's band pics.

I have enough of my own memories of that horror. I don't need any fresh images in my head, thank you.

I saw that pic....and was VERY confused. I simply refrained from comment and went on my no-longer-quite-as-merry way.

Now it all makes sense. I was SUPPOSED to be seeing men with mullets in spandex. Of course!

LOL, don't worry about it too much DarkHorse.
