Set lists in the UK

I'm curious.... We've had a lot of threads here about the usual songs to have in set lists-- the 'standards' and so on. I was wondering how set lists in the UK differ from those in the US.... I expect there's some overlap (Beatles and other really big names) but what about songs that are big in the UK but never went anywhere in the US, like The Jam, Status Quo or Slade?

There is a much bigger overlap than you might think on the circuit, but really it's down to the individual band and the personalized choices. The idea mostly while I was working in London for 15 years, was to try and vary it away from the usual suspects. Have played tracks by the bands you mention, The Jam - A Town Called Malice, Status Quo - Rocking All Over The World, Slade - Merry Xmas etc. Some 80's synth band stuff transferred to rock tunes worked very well. But it seemed everyone bar none had/has to play Brown Eyed Girl, a lot of guys couldn't stand that one just because of the repetition
