A guy came up to me during a break in our gig, and started telling me how Suzi Quattro used to orgasm when she played bass - did this ever happen to me? I wasn't quite sure what sort of performance he was looking for, but he had me worried! He'll just have to keep guessing...

But for TBers.... I have to say I have experienced goose bumps and lots of tingling with pleasure - usually when it's the first time we perform a song and it has to be a particularly good song - and it's not the bass playing really - it's just being part of something that's sounding great.... (I'm not talking musicianship here)...... think I'd better shut up!

I like keeping my relationship between me and my basses purly professional. Though it is hard to resist those fit ergodynamic bodys, plus it would be sort of awkward when your at a gig and your guitarist asks if he can use some of your string lubricant on your bass.

Welcome to talkbass, If that sumpin is what I think it is (being post in this topic), you might scare your teacher so leave it behind .

All of my sexiest experiances involve women claiming to want "private bass lessons". It never works out for the bass. That's one of the reason why I no longer give them.

Gee Warwick, it's too bad that had to happen but for all my joking, I'm a woman who's serious about the bass.

I've actually taught some women who were very serious about bass playing. After I showed them the basics, they got an actual teacher and became very good bass players. For every 1 woman that's serious, there are about 2 or 3 that have other things in mind. Keep in mind, these are women that I meet at our gigs. The 2 who were serious about it, I met @ music stores.

Actually, "Basophilia" is an actual scientific term, which means "an affinity with basic (or alkaline) dyes", or a medical condition where there are too many basophils (a type of white cell) in the blood.

One time, when I still kept my gear in the bedroom, during an intimate but somewhat athletic moment my bass accidently got kicked over. And of course I had to stop what I was doing to check on her.
So I wound up getting yelled at.
