I was invited to my boss's wedding on the weekend, which was nice as the only time I usually attend such an occasion is with a bass in my hands.

However....

I met the band as they were entering the reception and asked if they needed a hand with their gear. Soon the bassist/keyboardist and I got talking, as muso's do.
During their second set, I walked past the band and noticed he was trying to play "Master Blaster" with one hand while playing keys with the other. Tricky, but he was pulling it off. When he saw me in the room, he gestured for me to come over, then passed me his bass (a Low End Jazz 5...awesome!) I ended up playing the remainder of the night with them....save the 2 numbers i really didn't know.

It was a blast and I had a great time and made some new friends....and got to play a baaaad version of "Brick House" into the bargain.

Just sharing.....

Sounds like a good time. I also typically play bass and keys at the same time, but there are some songs I really need two hands for bass!
