Before everyone chimes in yes for the fact he's a guitarist... he also plays bass and is a TBer... lol
Here's the situation..... I'm a poor college student, with a 10 month old daughter.... I saved my very precious cash to buy an Ampeg SVT 4Pro... love that amp.... he loaded it up for a gig.... opened the door and BOOOOOOOOM to the concrete.... very shortly it had to go to the Dr...... fast forward a few months... amp is out of the shop.... gigs going great... everyone loves the amp... he loads trailer.... unloads without me there and sets me up.... drummer claims he dropped it again.... its acting funny....
so do I: (any and all orders and combos allowed)
A) Politely ask him to treat my gear better
B) "accidently" bump his amp stack over
C) Kick him in the cohone (he is sans one of the twins)
D) Repeat C multiple times
E) Ask for him to fund a repair
F) Repeat D multiple times
G) Give up because he's obviously a tard
H) Have myself be the only one to ever touch the amp (takes up the area the baby's car seat goes in my vehicle)
.....

Man, if he ain't got the wherewithal to take better care of his own family jewels, I don't think I'd let him anywhere near my gear... musical or otherwise.
*Disclaimer: I realize that he may be a huevo short of an omelette for reason's other than being accident prone, and I don't want to make fun of anyone who may have survived testicular cancer or other unfortunate circumstances. Just sayin.

I'll have to ask him if he's related to ol LA....
Seriously funny about the family jewels thing... I bring that up all the time... or in his case the family jewel.... poor lonely thing.
Any other options are gladly welcome =D

I once contributed to frying my friends mixing board in his studio. I paid for the repair with no problem at all. I didn't have much money and had to scrimp to get by for a bit. But you got to own up to your mistakes and move on. So back to my point. If you move your gear it shouldn't happen again.
Fool me once, your bad. Fool me twice, mine.

Luckily, if you've JUST gotten your amp back from the shop, you COULD (just an idea guys, flame suit ON) take it back to the tech. They should cover any repair as long as they can't prove you dropped it...
Also, get a rack bag or flight case for your head. I didn't know those were THAT heavy...

..... | B, C, D and F can get you sued. A & E will allow you to make a claim against him if he says "No." If you happen to choose C and no one sees it, oh well. But that choice can also get you dead. |

on a side note I'm already working on a real solution.... something that won't make my pocket/bank account/life sad as much cause he's gonna mess with it... and I mess with his stuff (never dropped it though)

Ask him to pay and in the future, move your own gear. |

I let my guitairst carry my 6 space skb rack in once and he set it on my cab in a way that it was destined to fall. it did and his guitar just happened to be in its way it put a pretty big crack in his guitar case no damage to the guitar and all the stuff in my rack was fine... get a rack they are worth it for the added protection they provide.
