So last weekend, we were playing with a band we have played with many times before. Sadly, this was their last show, as their bassist is moving to get his PhD in composition.

During their set, he prefaced a song by saying he was inspired by my bass playing to write the bass line in the upcoming song! This guy is a REAL bassist, too, being the principal bassist for two different orchestras. I was humbled!

The song rocked it hard

I also realized I play a LOT of 32nd notes!
