This dude broke his g-string playing a Pleasure song called Glide. It was amazing playing till the end. http://youtube.com/watch?v=JYZhCrXfiEI
EDIT: A Song called Glide by Pleasure. I figured I'd change that for those of you with your minds in the gutter...

For a while I was breaking B and E strings pretty often on my old Ibanez (good quality ones too). Thank god that phase is over.

The bridge or nut for spurs and file them down, or
Play ALOT lighter!! |

First time it happened I wasn't prepared, no spare strings! Luckily it was on the west side of town, and I had dated a female bass player before from the west side... and I usually break up friendly, not a lot of drama. Called her up, she was home, and brought me a G string.
Ahhh the power of the bass player.. Able to get ex-girlfriends to drop off one of their G strings with just a phone call. I don't remember if it was new or used.....
