Ours went great! Smallish crowd of 80 or so, but they were really into it. They enjoyed our music and the dance floor stayed packed all night long. The club patrons liked us so much they booked us again for Jan 23rd. Looking forward to going back, too! It was a lot of fun. In the photo below, you can see my P5 earning it's keep!

We had a really good time. Played at a fire company social hall. Crowd was good, but not completely packed, due to snow sleet and freezing rain. A lot of partying and dancing going on, but didn't get many good crowd pics. Here are a few.

It went. Good crowd (not too large). I did learn the limits of my MROD, but that's what PA and monitor mizes are for.

I have a gig tomorrow night, if that matters for anything? First show with the band, too.

I played a house party last night. There was a ton of people there and everybody had a good time. Despite everyone in the band drinking too much we played really well. Over all I'd say it was a success.

Here's some pics.

Pretty well. I had some wine spilled on my bass during our last song, but fortunately it was white wine and I was able to get it off before it could stain the finish or pickguard. Aside from that there wasn't anything bad. Pics will become available when I get them.

I don't have any pics yet but I did 2 gigs last night, both a half hour away from each other. I did a church gig, which if you know my church on New Years Eve then you know it's party time. We rocked the house playing a lot of Israel Houghton, Fred Hammond, and other upbeat urban gospel tunes. I won't lie, I rocked last night. I played my butt of, like I do every New Years Eve, just like everyone else did. Sundays are more worshipful and reverent but New Years Eve is to show the church what we've got.

I had to leave at 9:30 to be at a private party gig on the other side of town. I made it but was about 5 minutes late. These gigs never star on time anyway but I still strive to be punctual. This gig was a little reserved compared to where I just came from but it was fun none the less. I had a hard time playing with a sit-in guitarist's amp blaring in my ear and the acoustics in that place were horrendous but I still did a decent job. At least that's what the drunk homeowner said. He owns a recording studio here in town and I play with him in his band as well as play in his studio. He had a nice little set up there but there was entirely too much volume, too many people, and not enough room for the show. Oh well, a gig's a gig, right?

Ours went great! Elks club in Titusville, a new venue for us, was a bit of a drive for me. About two hundred guests and a great stage. They are some dancin' fools over there! Just the usual type of gig, who will run out of steam first, the band or the crowd. They booked us for year after next, which considering our ages is showing great optimism.

Members of my band teamed up with members of a friends band to play a private party at a bowling alley - it was a blast... only pics I got are of the stage... on the lanes.

No pics to offer (sorry). The NYE gig was great. The band played really well. Here's the bonus: I took home $100 MORE than what I thought the gig was going to pay. Went out with the wife and friends for Thai and copious wine on Jan 1. It's nearly noon as I type this and after another cup of coffee I'm sure I'll feel almost human again. I'm playing again tonight. Life is good!

Pics will follow after I get forwarded some.

We did a NHL Columbus Blue Jackets game NYE.
An hour and 15 pregame set in the commons area then on to the second stage at game time. We took cues from the producer everytime they go to commercial break or time out.
We set up 2 complete stages and monitors. We only had to do 1 P.A. as we ran through the house in the arena.
We've all been doing this for a while so everyone has redundent equipment and we had a 5 man crew.
I used my old SVT and bottom in the commons area and just a 410he and a 350h in the arena. We hit all our cues from the producer and had a blast. As impressive as playing a arena sounds, you have to remember we were just music to eat hotdogs and beer by. It was a sold out game and so it was neat to play for 17,000 people. All the people looked like wallpaper to me.To see your ugly mug on the arenas 40 foot Jumbo-Trons was distracting to say the least. We were given a dressing room next to the Blue Jackets and refreshments were provided. Nobody got buzed till afterwards. Didn't want to screw-up on their dime.A very fun evening all and all. Best part was getting home a little before midnight.
