So I chipped a tooth.

Do not ever say you are clumsy!

After getting an EQ pedal at music unlimited, and then going to $2.00 pizza night, I was very excited to play. So I get my bass out, and as I put it on, I somehow managed to put it on akwardly-- with a little too much force, and the body hit me right in my tooth. I learned later that it even got a little bit of my lower tooth too.

It is costing me over $1050 to get my tooth fixed. I stopped in the ER room to have them take a look at it, and the actual repair is $950!

It's funny, when it happened, I kinda just walked (calmly) to my band mate and girlfriend, and said in an excited tone (as if it were something good) "I lost a tooth!" They were confused, and then I showed them and they realized I was serious. They said it helped because if I was panicky they would have paniced.

Any how, it sucks that I have to spend the money, but I hope you all got a good laugh from it (I laugh about it, and so does everyone else )

Be a little more careful next time. You wouldn't want to have to sell your bass to repair another tooth!

Yeah I know, thats the worst part of it! I could of bought a real nice bass, and instead I'm getting a tiny little tooth!

The bass isn't too damaged, its just a blemish, but wow, that must have hit my face hard.

I'm thinking about glueing foam to it so this doesn't happen again

You won't need the foam. I think it's safe to say that you won't ever do that again!

When I first saw the thread title I was thinking about all the times I've biffed myself in the mouth with a mic by stepping on the stand base.

I've kind of done the same thing, with not as bad of an outcome, I was taking off my bass in a hurry and wasn't paying attention and the upper horn caught me in my top front right tooth, chipped a little bit of it off, not enought to really notice just enough to get that gritty taste in your mouth and for it to really hurt. Left a nice big chip out of the paint on my bass. luckily it was a squier.
